Moshe Mordechelewitz Conversation with Lea Dror-Batalion
Translated from Hebrew
The idea of the school was the sole initiative of Samuel. He was the first who had the idea came to me with the idea and asked my advice. He asked me if I would agree to take the responsibility of the kibbutz. I gave him my consent and I told him that he should contact the headquarter of the Central Commission Betar iin Munich . He should asked them if they would agree to support, and to give money for the school.
He asked the Central Commission and they agreed to his initiative to open the school after many discussions and meetings. It costs a lot of money. All the equipment was bought by the Center of Betar. Milek went to many places to collect money like the JOINT. He was the organizer and collector of the money. He received most of the money from Betar. Everything was concentrated by the Center in Munich. (He received no money from other sources?)
The Americans only gave presents. The City of Darmstadt only gave the place where the school was hosted and the living quarters of the kibbutz that used to be a hospital.
